Marianne - 5 Breakthrough Business Strategies for 2015

Happy New Year! Now that we are beginning a new year I am sure that you are thinking about ways to make this year even better than the last. Most people want more time and more money. With that in mind I would like to offer you 5 breakthrough business strategies that you can implement in 2015 to address either 1 or both of these issues.

1. Pick 1 Thing That You Would Like to Learn to Improve Your Business –

There is always something more to learn about technology, mindset, tax laws, business strategy, marketing, etc. when you own your own business. And you can become overwhelmed and do nothing. Or you can pick 1 thing to focus on and become a master at it. Make sure that whatever you choose will impact your biz in a profound way. I choose to become the queen of FB advertising. What would you like to focus on this year?

2. Choose 3 Big Goals You Would Like to Achieve-

It is important to know what you would like to achieve so that you can create a plan that supports your goals. This helps you to stay proactive as opposed to reactive. One tip that I would like to give you is to stretch what you think is possible. Here are my 3 goals for 2015: grow my email list to 5000 followers, launch a big program in September with the support of 50 Joint Venture Partners, and write an e book. What goals would you like to achieve?

3. Take 3 Action Steps Each Day Towards Your Goals-

When you have big goals it can feel overwhelming and that is why it is really important to break them down into bite sized pieces. Some days you may be able to take big steps and some days smaller steps. The forward motion creates momentum and as you see yourself getting closer to your goal it builds excitement. This is so important that I recommend scheduling the 3 action steps each day at the beginning of the day or the night before. So for instance, based on my goal of launching my program in September ,my action steps might be: write copy for pre launch emails for a minimum of 1 hour, reach out to 5 JV partners to schedule an appointment, review Jeff Walker’s video on launching.

4. Implement the 80/20 rule-

The 80/20 rule is a great compass for managing your time. Basically, the Pareto Principal or the 80/20 rule states that 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. This applies to your business in time management as well as other areas. You must become strategic in prioritizing your time (the 20%) that get the best results (80%). For instance, if you realize that 80% of your clients are coming from word of mouth marketing, how can you leverage that? Perhaps instead of spending countless hours on other forms of marketing, you could come up with a reward system that rewards people who refer you to their friends. The key here is to focus on the 20% of your efforts that produce 80% of your results before working on things that are not as productive..

5. Invest in a Coach-

This was, by far, the biggest game changer for me. When I decided to invest (big) in a coach, my whole life began to change for the better. Why? Here are 3 big reasons (and there are many more):

  • She helped me to hold the highest vision of myself and stretch my boundaries beyond what I would have thought possible
  • She helped me handle fear and limiting beliefs so that I could make choices with courage that were previously too scary for me
  • I now had skin in the game and because I was investing my money, I felt driven to do “whatever it takes” to achieve my goals.

The year I began working with my coach I doubled my income! Enough said!
So there you have it. Follow these 5 simple suggestions and you will be on your way to a kick ass 2015!!!
