money, money, money...

Let’s face it-we are well into our first month of 2015 and either you have begun to manifest some compelling goals for this year or you have just thought about it (or maybe you simply don’t care).

This is for those of you who do care and want to make things happen but you just can’t seem to get the ball rolling. So let’s start with the basics.

1) You have to know what you want first- sounds simple but if you don’t know this, how can you possibly know when you have achieved it? How can you envision it, create it and plan for it?

For example, if your goal is to make $120,000 this year-then write that goal down. Envision what you will  do with that money. Journal about what you can add to your life with that money. Make it visceral-not just in “your head”. Imagine what joy this would bring.

Maybe you want to travel more with your family. What might that be like? Write that down. Then put a dollar amount next to that goal. Keep doing that until you have spent that $120,000. Have some fun with this!

2)Start Thinking a lot Bigger-If you start with the end in mind  you may have to play a much bigger game to succeed. This may be a total mindset shift if you have not been able to reach that goal before. So start paying attention to limiting beliefs and replace them with positive, forward thinking ones.

What would you do to make this happen?

The litmus test for your beliefs should be whether or not that belief is serving you to reach your goals.

Find a way to make your goal setting fun. Challenge yourself.

Structure accountability into your day.

Play mind games with yourself. For example-“if I call 5 prospects monday -friday this week I can sleep in on sunday-otherwise I will have to go to spin class”.

You will have to start thinking  and  “being ” different. This comes from the inside out.

3)Break Big Goals Into Small Steps- Keeping the goal of making $120,000 this year, break down what you need to make each month. Based on 12 months that would be $10,000 a month. Don’t let this scare you. Start being creative about ways that you might achieve that goal. Have fun with it..

Ask yourself:

“What can I do to leverage my time and make more money?”

“What do I have to learn?”

“What is my first step? …….then my next step?”….and so on

Now start scheduling all the smaller steps that you need to do to reach your goal onto your calendar. Be consistent and you will start to see the big goal getting closer and closer. Small consistent steps , when focused on a single goal, will get you where you want to go.

You don’t need a big business plan to get going. Follow these simple steps and start building momentum and you will be on your way!

Start getting fired up!!!!!
