Marianne - Woo Woo

Something has been happening in the world that is really exciting and magical and forward  thinking, and savvy business owners are finally starting to catch on. Now this may feel a little  radical and “out there for you traditional left brain thinkers” but hear me out.

For so long our business culture has been dominated by male centric, linear, left brained  thinking. This includes critical thinking, strategy, logic, words, reasoning, etc.

And this is all great, but it tends to keep us doing the same things that our predecessors have  done -instead of tapping into our creative abundant mind that is in touch with universal  intelligence. (I can just hear some of you going whoa, Marianne- you lost me  there….heeheee), but try and open up to this and I will do my best to explain.

Since the 1990s a movement to tap into our more feminine and right brain mind has many  business owners and entrepreneurs tapping into a source of inspiration and wisdom that is  beyond rational thinking. This is more in line with right brain thinking that is intuitive,  creative, sees images, and recognizes faces, reads emotions and symbols.

It is pretty obvious that tapping into universal power and the power of the subconscious mind is a limitless source of wisdom. People who are more in touch with spirit and the power of the universe understand that this is an amazing source of inspiration, creativity and connection.

As more and more women have become entrepreneurs, there is a “new way of doing business” that takes into consideration heart based modalities and a whole new shift from linear thinking to heart centered thinking that is evolving-trusting ourselves and our universal connection to infinite wisdom. The ideal is to have a combination of both-the yin and the yang.

By the way, I do believe that the corporate world, which is still hanging on to the “old boys school” way of doing things will take some time to catch up. This is evidenced by the irresponsible statements by the CEO of Microsoft. And, get this, the comment below was expressed at a woman’s conference:

He had been asked to give his advice to women who are uncomfortable requesting a raise. His response: “It’s not really about asking for the raise, but knowing and having faith that the system will actually give you the right raises as you go along.” Not asking for raise, he added, is “good karma” that would help a boss realize that the employee could be trusted and should have more responsibility.

Just an aside-only 29% of Microsoft’s workforce globally is women-food for thought and another compelling reason why more women should become entrepreneurs.

But back to my point about adding woowoo to your business and why this is important?

Here are 3 ways you can use woowoo in your business:

1) Tapping into universal guidance when you are stuck on a problem that linear thinking isn’t solving will allow you to let things happen in a way that you might not have expected- but is more profound and for the better good of all

2) Creating a big vision for ourselves and then giving up the “how” to the universe-so that it will come to us in signs, symbols, circumstances or intuition so that we can create something bigger and better than we ever imagined

3) Understanding our clients in a deeper more intuitive way so that we can provide services that will solve their biggest problems

Now let me explain that woowoo has been used as a derogatory term by backwards, stuck in the mud scientists who haven’t caught onto our Darwinian consciousness (you know, like the ones who thought the world was flat pre Columbus).

But there has been evidence to the contrary as brilliant Physicists like Einstein have been proponents and places like Harvard have studied how things like positive thoughts actually physically change the neural pathways in our brains.

If you would like to follow some woowoo and expand your mind, here is a list of some of my favorites:

  1. Abraham Hicks (Esther)
  2. Oprah
  3. Jeanna Gabellini (my coach-love her)
  4. Bob Doyle
  5. Tara Mohr
  6. Deepak Chopra
  7. Eckhardt Tolle
  8. Wayne Dyer
  9. Maya Angelou

For any of you naysayers, try opening up your mind by reading more about this phenomena. It will change your world!

And you can believe me or not, it is your path, but in my life and business, I say gimmee some of that woowoo!
