We all know how important it is to have the proper nutrition for optimal health but we often don’t pay much attention to what nourishes our minds. Many people allow thoughts to enter their minds not realizing how they will affect them either positively or negatively. They also don’t understand how much they can actually control their thoughts and ultimately their results.

Here are 3 ways you can control your thoughts so that you can function better, create more of what you want in your life, and live more intentionally—which creates a more vibrant you!

Begin With a Cleanse and Detox-

Our thoughts are created from the time we are young, before we develop a discriminating sense of whether or not they will serve us. They are not reality, but a symptom of how we perceive reality.

For instance, if you were told from a young age that you were “not too smart” by someone you care about, you would begin to believe that it is true. After all, why would someone you care about say that if it is not true? In your young mind you wouldn’t think things like, “Maybe this comes from a place of self-hate, jealousy, fear, etc., and really has nothing to do with me but is all about the person where these words came from.”

These thoughts of you being “not too nice” can become your beliefs – your perception of reality and you believe them to be true. They may be obvious to you or you may be holding them in your subconscious. These messy little saboteurs clog up our lives, cause mayhem, and prevent us from believing in our dreams and living our best lives.

The first step in getting rid of these “toxins” is to recognize them when they come up and then visualize flushing them out of our system-getting rid of all that self-sabotaging gunk-just like when you are flushing out toxins from your system.

Fuel Your Thoughts with More Empowering Thoughts –

The next step is to fuel your thoughts with empowering thoughts. So when you feel as though you “aren’t smart enough” to ask for a raise, start a new business, go back to school, etc. remind yourself that you have everything it takes to get what you want and that you will not let the false opinions of others (or foo) dictate what you are capable of. Don’t let other people’s “stuff” rent space in your head and heart. Begin by looking at the world differently.

Have a mantra ready that works for you-something like:

I am perfectly capable of creating whatever I want in my life

I will only fuel my mind with positive, nourishing thoughts that will feed my desires

I am amazing and can handle anything

I totally believe in me

The way you talk to yourself is so important! Fill your head and heart with quality thoughts-not foofoo. You’ve got this!

So now that you have cleansed your mind of toxic waste and have begun fueling it with positive thoughts, take it up a notch by tapping into your inner wisdom and the power of the Universe.

According to Law of Attraction (which by the way is not woo woo-it is based on Quantum Physics) – what you focus on, expands. What most people don’t understand is that you must focus on what you want, not on what you don’t want. This is a really important distinction because often we dwell on the fact that we don’t have enough, money, time, love, etc. What we really need to fill our minds up with is focusing on creating a crystal clear vision of what we do want and seeing it in our lives now in all of its subtle nuances. That is the trick!

So, if you want more love, for instance, start noticing all the love given to you now. Maybe someone did something loving to you at the grocery store or you had a conversation with a friend who really “sees you”. Start taking note and appreciating these moments and you will have more and more.

Drink up all of the love that the Universe is sending you and add more from yourself. This is the super charged high octane fuel for your spirit. This fuel will help you live your truest, most amazing life!

It is so important to feed your mind, body and spirit with the good stuff. You are responsible for what you allow to enter so make sure that you are selective. If you do this, you will feel more energetic, hopeful and inspired to live full out!
