Welcome to episode #84 of Home Stagers and Designers on Fire. In this episode I discuss how to add Short Term Rentals to your Home Staging or Interior Design menus with my special guest Amy Powers. Amy has been an award-winning Stager and industry leader since 2007. She is also a trailblazer in the Short-Term Rental Staging and Design industry with her courses and expertise in staging nationwide. In 2022, after 15 years of home staging, Amy put down her warehouse keys and started vacation rental design full-time, making about 20K per month with very little overhead. Amy now spends her time traveling nationwide doing STR design and installation.

In this episode you will learn:

What prompted Amy to change her business model from staging to short term rentals

The difference between staging a home for sale and designing a short term rental

Who Amy’s ideal client is and how she gets their business

What an “experience destination” is and what to consider when doing a STR for this type of home

What types of packages Amy offers for STR

What software and resources Amy uses to execute her design for STR

Why photographing “instagrammable moments” is so important

How to add value to your STR services so that you set yourself apart

Amy’s # 1 tip for those of you thinking about adding STR to your business model
