In this episode of Home Stagers and Designers on Fire I talk with Dixie and Paxton Willard of Poised and Plumb, a workflow and operations consulting firm for stagers, Interior Designers, Workrooms, and the trades.

Both spent years at a project management software company built for the design industry, where they saw the operational problems designers and stagers run into every day. An NCIDQ-certified Interior Designer, Educator, and Operations Strategist, Dixie has two decades of design practice behind her. Paxton’s background is in customer service, communications, and building documentation that keeps a team from having to ask.

Together they help owners map comprehensive project workflows, evaluate and streamline the systems already in place, and choose software that fits the way the business runs.

You will learn:

  • What the difference is between systems, processes and workflows
  • The free tool that you can use to start documenting systems easily
  • Why having great systems and processes has incredible value when selling your business
  • How systems and processes prevent overwhelm and help you scale
  • How Dixie and Paxton make sure that they are catering to the specific needs of each business they work with
